Provide a little introduction about yourself...where are you from?

Hi! My name is Rebecca Sicat. I am from Congers, NY (Rockland County). I entered UB through the Early Assurance Program back in 2018.

What are your hobbies?

​

When I'm not busy studying for my classes, I enjoy playing video games, baking sweet treats, and playing with my dog.

​

What are your career goals?

​

I hope to complete a residency somewhere in New York City after graduation. I also hope to one day work at New York-Presbyterian hospital, but I am always open to new career choices.

What did you accomplish this year? What do you hope to accomplish by the time you graduate?

​

This year, I became Social Media Marketing Co-Chair Elect for the Student Association of Specialty Pharmacy (SASP) and joined LKS! I also began research at Buffalo General Medical Center at the start of summer 2021. I hope to learn more things about the pharmacy career and discover what pathways I want to explore after graduation.

What is one piece of advice you would give someone to prepare for pharmacy school?

​

Whenever you are overwhelmed with all the work and responsibilities, don't forget to take a step back and take things one step at a time. Always take care of yourself first!
